We Are Truly What We Eat ... And Also What We Breathe, Drink, Think About, And More

I especially took note of a couple passages as I read in the scriptures this morning...

1 Corinthians 2:9-12 "But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.  But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.  For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.  Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God."

It touches me that God has things great beyond our imagination prepared for those who love him, and who seek him out.  I'm sure some of those things are after this life, but I also believe that many of them are available here, now ... if we simply ask and listen quietly, patiently for an answer.  I have personally experienced this joy and know others who have as well.  It is a wonderful feeling and worth pursuing.

1 Corinthians 3:16-17 "Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?  If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are."

We truly are what we eat ... and also what we breathe, drink, think about, and more.  Our body and our soul are worth caring for.  Consistently.

  1. Enjoyed your thoughts this morning Awes. Very true, and very powerful. Key word was your last...Consistently. Guess that's what seperates those who "endure to the end" and those who don't, right?

Thanks for always sharing the little tid bits you do. Love.

  2. Consistency is indeed what separates those who "endure to the end" and those who don't. And although making good habits is a definite help, there is still a decision to be made every day. Am I going to do it today? With a smile on my face?

Thanks so much for your inciteful comment.
